When connected to any of the Moriah cluster nodes (gateway or compute nodes), PI users can run a script to generate a storage report similar to the monthly report they receive by mail. The script is located at:
/cs/share/scripts/urm-cli.git/allusers/DUreport.sh
You can create an alias
for the command in your .cshrc/.bashrc file.
Using this script can help monitor actual use of storage in order to better predict how many terabytes of quota to order. Note that each volume is a different folder, and each folder has its own quota.
The ncdu
command sorts folders by size and can also be used (by anyone) to assess which of their own folders are taking up the most space and if / where a cleanup is possible.
Quota allocations can be changed using this form - just remember to pay close attention to the instructions, which can be tricky!. Filling the form does not update your quota automatically. You will be notified when the quota has been updated.
